Witches Falls National Park

Another average Aussie rainforest, lush, green, beautiful. This track leads you to what would be Witches Falls. The forest over this side appears to have quite a few rocky outcrops. But the trees would not have any of that, they rule this forest!

The path winds along rocky ledges & out to what should be the falls, alas it is not much more than a trickle (Pictured at top of article). There are many impressive strangler figs throughout Mt Tambourine, but this track has got to have one that's among the top 3!

But you also find the odd fallen hero, a tree that has avoided the disasterous figs, yet surcumb to old age or weak roots.

Witches Falls also has an odd opening, just in one spot along the track. Some freck occurance cleared a circumference of about 40m, its a little errie, even sad, but interesting, & i just had to take a photo.

I have to wonder if the waterfall was always small, or if the drought we are having in Australia has made it small. But even with that its a good walk worth taking (featured at top of article) .
