Hungaro Spa in Hajduszoboszlo is Hungary's largest
bathing complex, complete with medicinal & recreational
pools, & waterslide park,

Colour of the medicinal thermal water (2m deep),

Last remaining windmill from 1900s, and also the
largest in Hungary - in Karcag,

All original parts inside windmill, including a 2, 3
& 5 tonne mill stone,

24 AUG

Gyula Castle, the only surviving brick lowland castle
in Hungary,

In Gyula there is also the 'Hundred Year Confectionery'
cafe, complete with antique furniture and decore (though
the cafe was founded about 150 years ago),

Rhony enjoys a few treats.

- Mangalica or 'Woolly Pig'

The Hungarian Version of a cowboy is called a Csiko,
and as part of the tour there is an introduction to
the skills they teach their horses, such as to sit,

And the Csiko's skills too, such as riding 5 horses
bare-back while standing (very difficult).

Pecsvarad's Castle & Benedictine Abbey,

The uncovered fresco of archangel St Michael from 11-12th
century above & right of chapel alter,

Roman Catholic Temple built on top of Ali Pasa Mosque,

Note the Turkish style windows in this Szigetvar abnormality,

Todays entrance to Zrinyi Castle, which was once called Island Castle,

What the castle looked like when it was stormed by the Turks, today only the back 2 sections remain (but as one castle & with only 5% original wall,

The spot where the bridge connected the Inner Castle (with tower) to the back section of castle, Zrinyi Miklos & his men died around this area (with the 3 spikes) when they charged out of their last defense into the Turkish Army, out numbered 24 to 1.

I'm not the only one, my mum has her own town too!

One of the 5 mass graves in the memorial park,
the original battlefield,

Many traditional style grave carvings stand in the
field, intentionaly leaning,

Entry to Abaliget's cave,

A shot of the walking track with a few small drips,

A large stalagtite called the Snail,

Turkish canons left its walls unharmed & Emperor
Leopold 1 did not blow it up, unlike many others,
