Steak & Malbec

ARGENTINA | Wednesday, 21 January 2009 | Views [716]

After my first hit of Argentina Steak, I'm hooked. Juicy, tender and full of flavour. It's delicious. If you're hungry, my advice is go to Argentina, eat some steak and fly home - it's worth the trip. A quick glance at the Rough Guide tells me it gets better in Buenos Aires too. I immediately promise myself, I will not leave this country until I've consumed a whole cow.

What accompanies beef better than a glass (bottle) of red wine? And in Argentina, this means Malbec. I'd never drunk Malbec before this trip but I found that beneath the deep, rustic, ruby colour, lies a strong yet vulnerable flavour that stimulates the palate with ease, whilst also leaving the drinker thirsty for more...I'm just talking rubbish of course, but the "thirsty for more" bit is true.

Garcon! Para mi, bife de chorizo (media), salata mista, una copa de Malbec, y agua sin gas. Works everytime.

Ahhh...Steak
