The first morning of the cruise is supposed to be a trip to some temple or other. Unfortunately for us, we kind of blew our budget (yet further) by taking the cruise in the first place, so we decide our wallet could do without taking the pain of another site entrance fee, and give it a miss. This does of course mean we can enjoy a much needed sleep-in and a leisurely breakfast.
The rest of the day is a continuation of our journey north to Luxor, which is only temporarily interupted by going through a (very tight) lock. Alicia thinks its boring to watch boats go through locks but its fun to be on the boat as it gets lowered into the water.
We arrive in Luxor early in the evening and we have a walk around the town. We end up getting a horse & carriage ride around a couple of the markets and get talked into buying a couple paintings (which will look cool in our African room). We spend one more night on the boat.
