It's a day late, but I left the house this morning and was surprised to see snow everywhere.
No one else seems too phased by it. Everyone disappeared from the staff room so I went out for a while and took photos. Turns out they were all getting into cleaning the gym and storerooms with students.
That's another odd thing, classes finished two days ago, but yesterday and today there have been heaps of students around doing club activities and studying etc. All still in uniform of course.
Yesterday was of course Christmas, I worked till about 4.30 and then took a long shower to try and warm up. I met Galen for curry, it was the regular Thursday curry night, but of course everyone else had left the country or had stuff to do. So unbeknown to them, last week was not the final curry night for the year after all.
It was good to hang out and chat, a nice relaxing evening.
Today is the last day of work for the year, next wednesday I board the plane. I have booked a hotel in Tokyo for the 30th. It's a place I stayed at before in April. It's pretty cheap and fairly close to Shibuya, just a short train ride away. I recall having some trouble finding the place the first time, till I eventually realised it was the tallest building in the area and looked up, to see it immediately. I don't foresee any problems finding it this time.
