For those that know me, know that I do dabble in poetry whenever I feel inspired. In memory of Valentines Day, which was yesterday, I will show you a poem that I wrote about three years ago. I did get this poem published in a journal. Not bragging or anything, haha, but I thought since it was fitting for the occasion that I would post some of my poetry in the next while. Heart in Bloom
Waking from a dark dormant sleep
through a cold winter's scene
Breaking through the earth's crust
frozen from time
A bud appears
gradually unfolding
opening one layer at a time
Slowly but surely
with time and attention
the bud blooms to full growth
Dawning on a spectacular spring day
breath of fresh air
Seeing the world anew
from a different view
Beauty abounds
all around
Sweet ecstasy
Joyful rhapsody
Heart is in bloom
