Swept away through music

CAMBODIA | Wednesday, 14 December 2011 | Views [176]

I am really enjoying my morning walks to work. In the cool freshness of each morning my routine includes grabbing my i-pod, jamming the headphones into my ears, flicking through to find a good song and letting the shuffle do the rest.

My i-pod has a wide range of music but it is interesting how each day at least one song that plays just hits me between the ears and stays with me the whole day. Sometimes it's a song of worship other times it is a happy song that brightens me up and puts me into a happier mood. I must appear strange to the locals who watch me walk past as I tap along to the beat on my leg or close my eyes and allow the music and lyrics to carry me away.

Today’s beauty was this amazing song by Audio Adrenaline – Tremble. So as I walked I quietly reflected, confessed and came before the Lord with a heart of humility and adoration. Love how God can speak so clearly to your heart from a randomly shuffled tune.

Tremble - Adio Adrenaline

Shaking like a leaf
Afraid to lift my eyes
Afraid of all your glory
Ashamed of all my pride
Then you call me in
To your holy place

I fall down
Down on my face
And I beckon you for mercy
And I beckon you to forgive everything that I've ever done
And I tremble
And I tremble

I am just a man
Showered in your grace
You're the holy God
Your glory fills this place
And I beckon you for mercy
And I beckon you to forgive everything I've ever done
And I tremble
I tremble
