Good things come with suitcases

What is more exciting - my dad coming to Cambodia or the things he brings in his suitcase? I have been emailed my family a wish list of all the things I am missing here. Things on the list include dates, formal dresses (for all those wedding that seem to be happening), books for teaching, a new hardrive and so much more. It was like all my Christmases came at once opening up those two suitcases that dad brought with him.

Don't worry I am not completely heartless, I am super excited about my dad visiting my home in Phnom Penh and have so many fun activities planned. It is great having family visit. You don't realise how much you miss them until you are far from them for a long time. I am sure dad is enjoying his Cambodian experience. He is currently sipping his second cappuccino as we sit in a coffee shop escaping from the monsoonal rain.

So I have come to this conclusion, good things don't come in boxes, parcels tied up with string or in expensive gifts. Good things come WITH suitcases - travelling from Australia to visit me. Now that is one the best gifts I could ever receive.

I love your writing style. Reasonably short and snappy with personality. I am sure you enjoyed Dad's visit as well as he enjoyed visiting you.
