Out of the bubble......... One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.-- Henry Miller

There is a rule: Smile at kids and women, but never at a man - you will never get rid of him, truly!

The place I am staying at, seems to be a real youth hostel - somehow I feel old. I think I am the oldest person here....oh well...........

Anyways, got up early to take some pics - with all its filth, this is a very special place indeed. People do appreciate their Ganges river (no matter how much piss and shit, ashes and dead babies are floating in it (they only cremate the adults - dead babies get put in whole))

The vendors seem to be more aggressive here, but the place has such a bad reputation, I have the feeling some really nice and honest people are trying to make up for it.

The kids love to have their picture taken and they don't even charge you for it. I imagine being born here - as a poor Indian - you just never get out of this place and you don't know the world outside.

I heard the scream of a dog being crushed under a train. Kids, adults, cows and dogs walk around on the tracks all the time. With all this I am just blown away that people don't get killed all the time right in front of me. The traffic is just horrendous - people drive the way they want - I know I am repeating myself, but can't help it. They are  very attentive though - much more than in any other country I have seen. They do watch out for each other and help each other - more than in any other country I have seen, so there..................Oposits are very close together in this country,
