There it is: Copacabana...sweet place!

There it is: Copacabana...sweet place!

We wanted to rush through this place having "lost" too much time, but it was impossible!

It's reputation as a "touristy place" was a "turn off" and yet....WE ARE TOURISTS and this little town with all it's little cafes and restaurants, it's clean (and cheap!) hostels and friendly people, it's many little stores with all the little goodies that foreigners like, the tables and chairs in the sun serving ice cream and tea. The place is enough to make a tourist feel GOOD! So, we stayed two full days and enjoyed every minute. We stayed long enough for some "old friends" to catch up with us - the family from Switzerland with the two young kids
and Salvador (Salva) who had been pedaling the world and has been on the road for eight years....here his story all in Spanish:
There were some new acquaintances with cyclists and even "normal" tourists. We didn't stay a minute too long. On our last day we climbed up a nearby hill to watch the sunset and were rewarded by some incredible colors, the lake, the sky and all...
