Big Small Journey Off on the adventure of my lifetime: 5 glorious months of sun and snow in South America, then the UK for further fun and frolicking.

Sickness was bound to happen after a week of very little rest

Yes folks, woke up in the middle of the night with a hugely blocked nose, and unhappy sore throat. Not surprising considering the massive lack of sleep I had had over the last few days. Still not happy about it though. I gargled down some berocca, and tried to sleep. However there was a big party happening with very loud music at the town square right next to the hostel, so I slept fitfully. I was also woken up by mosquitos, so arranged the hostel-provided net around me and forced myself to sleep.

This morning, woke around 9, and had a lovely breakfast at the hostel. I had met a guy from Spain, Xavier, the night before, we talked about random travel things. Today at breakfast he and his friend George, a Brazilian who had been working in Spain, invited me to go to a beach with them, we would set out in their car to Trancoso, lounge there all day, and return at night.

One thing I forgot to mention about yesterday was that one of the first things I was informed of by a hostel staff was him being able to procure some pot for me. For a small donation to him of him being able to smoke some of it. He then came around later with a welcome ¨present¨, very kind, but I declined. So I was a bit suspect about the place, but I set out with the guys, they were very cool, and had a lovely day lounging about a couple of beaches south of Arraial, drank coconut from the nut, ate food, and slept and read in the sun. Altogether not a bad day, except from my sniffles and constant need to go pee.

Another 2 days of this I hope!
