    Views[571] A pushcart vendor on the streets of southern laos. Views[489] As we were heading out rockclimbing (a personal disaster....) we passed this little girl seated on the back of her mothers bicycle.     Young lao children, riding home from school on their bikes. Views[570] Lindsay and I, stranded at a little riverside shack as the rains pour down. We had JUST started out on the bike trip, and were forced to detour for a hot ovaltine and some conversation while we waited for the rain to stop. Views[502] The largest waterfall in SE asia (by volume, not height) on just about the most beautiful day possible. Views[538] Well, really.     Me and the largest waterfall. Proof I was there. I look at this and still can't believe clouds can really LOOK that way. Views[643] 2 kids we met who joined us in watching all the OTHER kids coming home from school. Views[921] Naked as the day he was born and LOVING it. Most of the kids under 3 are starkers all the time. Views[2707] Right outside my riverside bungalow in Don Det....the island is a farming community, so there are cows, water buffalo, dogs, pigs, cats, and chickens absolutely everywhere.     Sisters Tara and Lindsey from Alberta....I swear, I meet more Canadians than every other nationality combined.... Views[630] More naked bums and good times. Views[1838] Possibly my all-time favourite photo of this trip. Playing in the river at Nakasang. Views[647] Boats 'docked' on the riverside at Nakasang. Views[483] These cows WERE my favourite, until I met the saucy one who stuck his tongue out at me.. These ones would come right up to the fence to look at you, and then turn away if you came near.     All our laundry, drying on the line at the guesthouse. Views[431] Kids on bikes, swarming around Tara, Lindsay and I. I have NEVER seen kids smile at me the way they do in SE Asia. I love it. Views[479] Chili peppers drying in the sun. Pretty much a staple ingredient, at lease in Thailand and Laos.     As we approached the shore, we passed a group of kids bailing out this boat....pretty standard, i'm sure for anyone who knows boats ~ but for me...another reason to be nervous... Views[596] Another up-the-nose shot...which I feel captures the boredom of the long bus rides quite well. Feels like I spend half my time staring out a window like this.... Views[441] A temple guardian stands watch over one of the many temples in Vientiane. Views[641] Disco seems to be the theme in Vientiane.....this double decker bus is the one I took to Pakse, complete with dinner, bottled water, a 'refreshing towel' (?) and on-board movie. Far cry from the transport in the north of the country!!!! Views[2581] Me with Robin, an old friend from Vancouver I hadn't seen in probably 3 years..how odd to meet up in Laos of all places!     An extremely fun night of disco bowling in Vientiane...with a great new group of people! Although, this photo only shows me...yoú'll have to trust the others were really there....     Me at CKS Intl. Airport, very bored. I was there from about 12midnight until my flight to Singapore, about 7am. Ha ha, and also ~ you can see up my nose! (but I still like this pic....)
