    Laos ~ Vientiane (#5d)

    Disco seems to be the theme in Vientiane.....this double decker bus is the one I took to Pakse, complete with dinner, bottled water, a 'refreshing towel' (?) and on-board movie. Far cry from the transport in the north of the country!!!!

    that brings back memories. that looks like a sleeper bus. took one from Vientiane to Pakse. being 6'2" I didn't get much sleep on the 5 foot "beds" though. but you are right, much better than the trip to luang prabang, but I liked luang prabang better than Pakse. Overall Laos has been my favorite place, maybe because my wife is Lao, so I had a interpreter :). happy travels
