Chasing the Wind A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. ~ Lao Tzu

So after a car ride to the train station, a two trains to Bari, then an overnight ferry to Igoumenitsta, then a boat ride to Corfu, then a van ride to the Pink Palace, we are here in Cofu at one of the biggest party hostels in the world.  However, because it is the end of October, most of the island is shut down (restaurants, stores, etc.).  The Pink Palace is a self-running city almost, so we have everything we need here.  And our room faces the Ionian Sea and some beautiful cliffs.  It is is cloudy, but the water is still refreshing.  Our accommodations are bit more expensive than we would like to pay, 20 Euro a night...but that includes a pretty decent breakfast AND dinner.  We like to pick fruit off of the trees in between meals as we wait for our 8:30PM dinner...quite late!

So far we have done swimming in the Ionian Sea, which actually has waves as oppose to when we were at teh Amalfi.  We did a crazy hike yesterday to the top of the hill...we kind of made our own path throught the thorns and such...our battle scars will be our souvenirs.  Today we wanted to go Kayaking, but the weather may not allow it.

Anyway, as always, time runs short an I can't write everything I want to.  I am having a fabulous time with the girls and with all the new friends we meet.

Thanks everyone for all your comments...it makes me miss home.

I wish things were open for you but I am glad to hear that your accommodations provide everything you need! God is good! I hope the weather perks up...it has been raining in SJ. I miss it here. Side note -- I am going to my first Halloween house party tonight...I am kind of scared...hahaha! Talk about late bloomer! (Probably as nervous as Shell is with her recital. How sad am I??? But on a positive note...GOOD LUCK Shell!)

love and miss you...xoxo

Life is crazy busy!! I'm studying all the time. Hoping to be graduating in a year and a half! Woot!

I'm glad you are getting food! You made me lol in that one entry where you talked about "winning the game." Speaking of winning "the game", I just lost! lol. Anyway, I hope you're getting more fruits and vegetables in Greece. :-)
