No matter how many times we visit this little jewel, it still enthralls. We are much closer than we have ever been in previous years so we really had time to explore many of the side streets that we had to forgo in the past. We found the oldest part of town that dates back to the 1200's. But, even more interesting were the shops that sold handmade goods produced by local artisans. Colorful little garden animals were one of my favorites.
The city also has some interesting galleries that we want to visit while we are here. Several of the impressionists enjoyed painting here and you can understand why.
We visited a famous lighthouse. It never actually functioned as one, but artists loved to paint it.
