Robbie Hey everybody!! This journal was set up to keep everyone up to date with my travels through China and Vietnam. I will be volunteering in China up in the north west part of the country in a city called Urumqi for 13 weeks, helping out (hopefully) with teaching english. I will then have some time in Beijing to explore the sights. I then move on to Vietnam to meet up with my mum for a few days in Ho Chi Minh then fly up to Hanoi to volunteer with a local volunteer agency SJ Vietnam for 10 weeks. Then I fly home just in time for my 21st birthday. This journal will keep you up to date with all my volunteering adventures!!

This trip is something I have been wanting to do for a few years now. I am so lucky to be able to finally take off. Volunteering is a challenge of mine, both to see and be a part of another culture in a way that most travellers don't get to experience.

I wanted to see first hand the benefits and differnce volunteering and charity brings to less developed nations. The two volunteer activities I will participate in will show the contrast from a fee paying school in China to a developing volunteer agency helping out in Hanoi.

I can't wait to see it all. I love to travel and see new things, this is a great opportunity to experience travel from a whole new perspective. I hope everyone can be so lucky!!
