Had a good look around Sydney today since I've been housebound for the last few days. Went to the following
- Sydney Opera House
- Mrs Macquarie chair for a good view of the bridge
- Woolloomooloo Wharf
- Kings Cross
- Darling Harbour
I was watching a street artist in Darling Harbour who was juggling with knives on a BMX whilst cycling around 3 members of the audience. It occured to me that I'd see this guy before. After his show I asked him if he use to be BMX Boy in the Archaos Circus (famous for juggling with chainsaws). He couldn't believe I remembered, as it was nearly 17 years ago that he worked with them. He's now 38 and likes to be called Shaun.
I really love this city and it has a sense of familiarity about it. I think this together with having somewhere nice to stay near the centre made me feel quite at home.
