My Travels This is a day by day journal, so in the future I can look back and reflect on my experiences and those I have shared them with.

I was waiting at Sydney Airport Arrivals for ages due to their strict quarantine policy.  Basically I had to queue in order to declare that I wasn’t caring anything that would imbalance their eco system.  Seemed a load of nonsense after a flight with no sleep but I appreciate the Australian culture when comes to their environment.

Stayed at the Maze Backpackers in Pitt Street, Sydney.....a huge hostel...quite overwhelming.  Even more so when accosted by so many drunken teenagers later that evening!  However, it was clean and pretty central.

I had a few hours to kill, so I spent them having a wander around the city.  Went to the Rocks area near the Bridge...nothing has changed much since the last time I was here.  In fact I felt quite at home....I love this city!

My foot was really hurting now....and the blister was showing no sign of healing.  Got the bus back as I didn’t fancy walking anymore.

I had arranged to meet John and Shanna (who I met in Laos and now back home living in Sydney) in the evening.  It was good to catch up, and hear about their travels since the last time we met some months ago.
