Today, a group of us hire a couple of cars to explore the islands. The first point of call was to visit the cable car via the KFC (not one for going mad on western food but there are some things that can’t be helped). We had to queue for an hour and a half to get a cable car up to the view point. It was worth the wait, the view was stunning. You can see pretty much the whole island from here.
The next stop was the waterfall. After 367 steps up in the heat of the day we reached the top. Since it was dry season, there was little more than a dribble coming down the waterfall, however, this did make it good for cooling off in the small rock pools. A couple of days before, one of the Spanish guys in our group had slipped down the rock face of the waterfall and knocked himself out. Since he was still suffering with concussion he couldn’t remember exactly how it happened. Anyway, given his experience none of us wanted to step too close to the edge!
Before heading back home we stopped to watch the sunset and chilled out on the beach.
That night, similar to the night before, I ended up on the beach with a host of people around a bonfire. In fact, spent the whole night there until sunrise the next day.
