Well it is a wonderful evening in Shiyan, it rained for the last two days, but today it was sunny and cool. I just got back from eating a traditional Chinese meal of Double Cheeseburger, fries and a Coke at Mai Dong Lao (McDonald's). It was glorious albeit a little pricey but it was worth it. After McDonald's we went to DVD store where I purchased 32 DVDs for the price of 40 RMB, which is equal to 6 USD. I got a few movies that have not been released wide in America yet, it was awesome.

Today we went to the school to get our teaching schedules and find out when classes started. Well my schedule is pretty easy, like i said i am teaching mainly International nursing students but I also have a few other classes, including a few writing classes. However the biggest surprise is that i am teaching all Freshman. In China college Freshman do not start the school year with all the other students. They actually begin 3 weeks later. So instead of starting classes tomorrow, and seeing the end to my boredom, I now have to wait till September 24 before my classes start. I am about ready to lose my freaking mind! So I am going to try and visit a few friends in Dalian during my three week vacation. So after we got our schedules, we had lunch with all the members of the foreign affairs department at fancy hotel. It was nice to meet all of the other English teachers and my boss. I also discovered in that meeting that they are in the process of replacing my computer with a brand new one. I am also working on getting a new bed, since the one I have is like two wooden boxes with a couple sheets of cardboard sandwiched in between two thick blankets. It might be the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. however i do not think they are going to give me one so i might have to go buy one which mean i am going to have to wait a month or two before i have expendable income to go get one:( After Lunch I signed my contract so I am official now. Then finn and I went and played some pickup basketball against a whole bunch of Chinese students. We may have injured a few of them. I know that I broke one pair of glasses and caused at least four dudes to fall to the ground, stepped on one foot, and kicked a guy in the shins. Finn and I were laughing, because our court had the most people watching and waiting to play, we made the students days. they were going to go home and show all their friends the bruises they had received from the American's today.

Well that is all I got for now, not much else happening, playing a lot of games and watching movies, with no working starting till later next month. Hope everyone is ok. Miss you.

You broke his glasses? Poor little fella.
I'm glad to know you're gonna visit us! We'll take you to the beach and shit. It'll be awesome.
McDonalds? LAME.
I can't wait until we're off quarantine because we haven't gotten to do much shopping yet, minus snack food runs. Or in Tyler's case, beer/brandy runs. :) But we did get to see some awesome stuff.
Miss you! :D

Ok... first of all, you have changed already. Basketball involves moving, maybe running and possibly sweating. What happened to my Joshie? Karla said it HAD to be an online game. I don't know what to think!

Second, you are a riot! Loved the crickets. I have been printing your posts and taking them to work for everyone to read. (except the bathroom one!) Everyone says hi. At least one person asks everyday if I have an update from you. We all miss you and are happy you are getting adjusted. Toolworld is falling apart without you. No suprise there!

Did you tell them that in the US you where know as the "White-Shack" or (Wack for short) and that you got that nick name from hitting your oponent in the face and stepping on their feet....You can also regale them with the stories of your brief but illustrious career in the NBA...I never said you where a fool but sometimes you act foolish ..you must get that from your mother's side
