Headed out to see more of the old town. Started with the water taxi over the river, then the gondola up the hill to the top of the bridge and then walked up to the North Monastery. The sun came to the party and the photos were great. There was one person up there with a dog and the seagulls went after it. Enjoyed the view for a while before checking out the monastery – it was pretty but not very exciting. Wandered back across the bridge and did a bit of souvenir shopping. Then had a lazy hour or two before heading off on a food tour with our guide Renato and two French people – Thierry and Michele from Montpellier. It was an excellent group and Renato took us through four different restaurants for a taste of all things Porto – both food and wine, and a bit of history thrown in.
