We had big plans for Australia Day. We had a pub crawl in mind, trying to get somewhere to play hottest 100, kicking the footy, playing the hackey sack type thing. Yeah, it could have been good.
Except I woke up with food poisioning. The dodgy BBQ from the night before. Didn't occur to me at the time but the power had been out all day that day! What was I thinking.
Had a sleep in and then tried to get up the energy to go to the pub for a while. Walked down there felt ok, got a lemon juice, still felt ok. Ordered a beer, took a first sip, trouble. Felt like I was going to vomit.
Hurriedly made my way back to the hotel for vomits and bed. That pretty much how the rest of the day went.
We tried to get flights back to Ho Chi Minh but they were booked out until 5 Feb. Got ourselves ferry tickets back for 28th.
