Day 102: A change of pace

THAILAND | Friday, 15 February 2008 | Views [713]

Friday 15th February

I woke up to some welcome peace and quiet, and the tranquility of the Mae Nam Khwae Yai (anglicised as the 'River Kwai') in the grey morning put me in a good mood. I felt very relaxed and I had no real desire to do anything other than chill out for the rest of the day. I hd been fairly active over the previous few weeks, and needed some time to sit still and take it easy. I found a cafe with free wi-fi access and plonked myself there for a few hours, taking care of a few things that needed to be taken care of.

For the rest of the day, I pottered about, working on updating my journal, and putting together a package of stuff that needed to be sent home. It was a productive day, it being necessary to take a day here and there to straighten things out, and it helps to keep everything in order. Because, if things weren't in order, you never know what might happen.
