A little premature to be trading in my barely 2 year old snowboard, I know, but over the past few days she's become a total write-off. Putting it down to nothing other than a poorly made top sheet, I've gradually noticed some severe de-lamination suicide. Now as you know with your regular delam issues you can generally get on top of it with a quick lick of epoxy resin and your good to go, but given its my job to ride every day I haven't had the chance to get to the hardware store to get some epoxy.. so now there's now too much moisture under the top sheet and its beyond repair. Perfect.
SO... Today I walked into Porters Outlet and pick myself up a brand new DC BFT (Best Freestyle Twin). It didn't take much convincing as it's not only a super sick board, but best of all I got it for a total steal. What is regualarly at $360.00 board I walked out of the shop laughing with my sweet $175 purchase!!! Of course I went straight to the mountain to try her out and wow, what can I say?... AH-MAY-ZING
Needless to say she was amazing in the park.. super stable in the air, smooth when cruising, has wicked edge control (I almost forgot what it's like to have sharp edges!) making carving effortless, and has so much pop its not even funny. I feel as though I've had it for the whole season already; I'm stoked. I can't believe I've been missing out all this time.
So that's that.. a brand spanker of a board and one very happy girl :D
All I need now is some stickersssss
