Living the Dream

For me, today was one of the most epic powder days I have yet experienced. Exchanging conversation with others about today's conditions affirmed that today was one of the best days they've had at Squaw! Regardless of your stance on today, it was pretty freakin' memorable. We had the perfect combination of blower pow on top of spongy wet snow - California style. As of about 2pm yesterday it started puking and all thanks to the snow gods we were blessed us with that continual downpour all. night. long. To make things even better (if that isn't already possible) is the forecast for this coming weekend...ANOTHER storm warning. YEOW!!!!!!!

This morning we were greeted to 2 feet of fresh powder and bluebird skies, and to top that, I spent the day in a snowboard clinic ripping up some of the best terrain and powder I have genuinely ever experienced. Did I forget to mention I got PAID for this?Unbelievable. I felt like I haven't lived until today! Canada, you aint got NOTHIN' on Tahoe!! I can't believe I haven't come here sooner.. Now it all makes sense as to why everyone I've met so far comes back to Squaw year after year.

To end what could quite possibly be the most perfect day I've yet experienced, Tom and I met up with some mates and hit the hot tubs to soak those achy (and not yet developed) powder legs. Bliss!

What else can I say? Not only am I living the dream, but I can honestly attest to the fact that I have never been happier.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 12-14 inches with 3-6 feet above 7000 feet and locally higher amounts along the Sierra Crest...

God bless America.
