As I lay here outside, soaking up the rays in my bikini (making the most of the summer sun) and indulging in a good read, I've found myself periodically gazing up from the pages to admire the view. In the last few moments of doing such, I've come to appreciate that nothing will ever beat this all to familiar sight.. the ocean, combined with Rangitoto Island standing proud in the horizon and that yet-to-be-discovered shipwreck that lays wearily out at the end of the headland. Such familiarity provides one with such a comfort and sense of home that it never grows old or unappreciated. I know I will miss it here. I love home, and like the age old saying goes, there really is no place like home...
Yet despite all this, I am literally busting at the seams to get to Tahoe. Why? Well check out this link and see for yourself..
Shame about the skiers, and gay music, but hey, you get the idea right? A s*** ton of POW! Did I forget to mention it's only November and that Squaw has only been open for 3 days now? UN.REAL. I'm frothin' to get a piece of that pie, and needless to say the next 2 weeks can't come fast enough. If you have a spare moment, check out the other videos on the right hand column to see some more of that powder action (it's erotic to say the least hahaha). I know that some of you guys couldn't care less for snow and all my carry on about it. What can I say? You evidently don't know what your missing out on and I'm not going to bother convincing you otherwise, but for those of you who, like me, froth over a bit of the white powdery stuff - Unnoficial Squaw will keep you updated with everything going on in my local hood.
Get hooked up at Unofficial Squaw or the Squaw Valley Website to follow some fast times in Tahoe and be jealous...be very jealous mwahahaa. Snowvember - 11 feet and counting!!
For now I'll take it one day at a time and relish what I have left of New Zealand, summer, old friends and of course family
...and not spend too much time sitting, wishing, waiting!
