Day 18

AUSTRALIA | Sunday, 3 July 2011 | Views [208]

Not much to report. The drive from Katherine to Darwin involved more hill climbs and slightly windy road but with regular passing lanes we didn't hold anyone up for too long. There were a number of flowering native plants along the road verges including the pink flowering bush included in the photo gallery. We have been seeing this particular plant since before Mataranka. There was also a small tree with no leaves and large, buttercup yellow flowers and small grevillea trees with large, goldy yellow, toothbrush flowers. We are staying at the Lee Point Caravan Park about 14kms out of Darwin.
