HE'S HOME!!!!!!

USA | Saturday, 15 September 2007 | Views [498] | Comments [4]

I got one of the most wonderful e-mails yesterday morning. My brother is home!!!! (There are not enough exlimation points in the world for the previous sentence.) I am increadibly relieved that it is over (as I am sure he is too). I just didn't identify with being "the girl whose brother is in Iraq" and something tells me he didn't identify too well with being the "guy in Iraq".

Thanks to all of you who have sent your positive thoughts his way the last 15 months.

Now, if only all the other families of troops could be so lucky.

And I wasn't too comfortable with being the "mom who's son was over in Iraq", and "whose daughter is living in Thailand"!
It was great to see both Jarrett and Val in Seattle. We all visited Starbucks in your honor. Photos of the VERY happy group to follow!! Love, Mom
