After a night on the train we pulled up to Hue, about 10mins later than we expected (just like England...).
Checked in to a hotel and went to the imperial citadel on the 1st day. A lot of it is being rebuilt and refurbished. I thought this was cheating a bit but thats the way.
On the second day I had the choice of either going to the Demiliterised Zone (DMZ) for a tour - apparently where most of the major fighting took place (ask Jose Vidal of Peakdale for details or to do some tomb hunting I opted for the tombs because the DMZ was about 90km out of the city.
A nice city - but there are a lot of people trying to scam you. would've have done the DMZ if I had more time but would probably never go back.
After a few tombs I was ready to leave Hue and head for Hanoi
