Lucky for us we didn't have to wake up too early yesterday morning. I woke up a bit earlier than Kristy and headed down to the magnificent library to catch up on a little blogging. I have to back date everything to make it easier for you guys to read. It's a little more difficult not having access to the internet on my phone. At the moment I'm feeling alittle relieved after finding a Bangkok Airways lounge to lob in for a little while. I've been at the airport for 4 hours already which isn't fun when you're not feeling 100%. Anyway ... Yesterday morning after my blogging session we bumped into Kyles and the bridesmaids at breaky. Kylie was feeling a little nervous but looked like she was coping with the nerves. We had a pretty quiet day by the Hilltop pool where we bumped into the girls again. Kylies mum had a go down the waterslide which was pretty funny to watch! We finished up down at our pool before getting ready for the wedding. I think yesterday was one of the hottest days we've had so it wasn't much fun getting ready for the wedding in our outdoor bathroom. We were sweltering, dresses sticking to our bodies, hair frizzing and make up sliding off almost as soon as it was applied. Needless to say that while waiting for the wedding to start people were dropping like flies.
Luckily the hotel staff were on the ball and provided us with cold face washers, water and fans. Down on the beach the sun was shining for Kylie and Aidan and the beach had a goegeous little marquee for them to stand under. Aidan waited nervously but the nerves seemed to diappear when Kylie walked down onto the beach. Kylie looked lovely in her 1920's style dress as did the bridesmaids. We (the guests) headed up to the lily ponds for cocktails and finger food where we tried to find a hint of a breeze to cool off. I also had to race back to the room because I'd filled my memory card up on my camera. A short time later we were all heading up to the Hilltop in buggies for the reception. The hotel staff had done a great job of setting the area up and we even had a light show all night long from the lightening! The food was traditional Thai food which was delicious but almost blew my mouth to pieces, it was soooooooo hot!! A bit of dancing and a few speeches later we were waving goodbye to Kylie and Aidan in their decorated buggy. I wasn't feeling crash hot at the end of the night and was quite faint so I decided to buggy it down to our villa. We were in bed very late and up super super early so we could pack and have breaky before our 8am boat off the island. We also had some more news of earhquakes at this time but we felt nothing on the island, thank goodness. Pop, our butler, came to see us off at the pier and didn't stop waving until we were out of sight. She was fantastic during our stay and I made sure I gave her a generous tip. The boat trip back to Phuket was fine but I felt like vomiting all the way to the airport and I'm still not feeling the best. I think I've eaten something bad. I'm tired of waiting here so I'll be very relieved to get on the plane and also to get away from tsunami territory. I'm looking forward to the next part of my adventure but a little nervous about being on my own and meeting the group. Hopefull all goes well. Blog soon, Sis. xo
