Trip Preparation

My passport has finally arrived home safely from Sydney. Such a big relief! I was getting worried that I was going to have to fly to Sydney first to pick it up before heading to Thailand. The visa is ridiculously small so I'm glad it is stuck firmly into my passport so it doesn't go wandering. The last thing I need is to be denied access to Vietnam half way through my trip!

More shopping today - just collecting last minute things. I think I'm done though. Now I have the overwhelming task of packing. I always pack so much and end up looking like a pack horse. I must remember to take a photo of what I've packed so it makes the task easier next time.

Thanks Mum. I'm going to try to pack lightly but I can't promise. I like to be prepared - it's the scout in me!

Hi Charissa, was reading your travel journal. Souworkednds like you had a wonderful time. I am 63 years old and live in Pioneer, Calif. which is in the Sierra Navada mountains. I was in the war in Vietnam. I worked right on the Cambodian border in the seven mountains near chau doc. Vietnam has really changed. It is a beautiful country. I had many cambodian & vietnam friends. Would like to go back again. Enjoy your travels. I have been around the world. Went to new zealand a few years back. That is a beautiful country. Have not made it to austrailia yet. Maybe someday. Happy new year. David
