For the next month or so Petra will be my home base while I help a friend at his travel agency. Seven years ago in the month of April was the first time I came to Jordan and I never thought then I would be back several times. Today was my first day at the office getting situated so much much to say there.
Last week I was in Bangkok and the weather there was very strange with cooler than normal temps and a heavy cloud cover. It looked like it would rain at any minute but never did. Looks like all the rain went south to the beaches.
I had a wonderful reunion with past coworkers from Jeddah now teaching in Bangkok. Attending the school was a real treat and many thanks goes out to my host Cheryl. The last night we took a nice long walk around her area, had a foot massage - now that is something I could get use to on a weekly basis - and ate out.
The last two days on was on my own walking around by the hostel and came across the Central Department store. The department store has 7 floors of goods and each floor had lots of nice eye candy. I could have spent a whole day there but I was on a mission to find puzzles and games for the family I am staying with in Petra. I am happy to report the logic puzzles are a big hit with the family. Every one from the youngest to the mom and dad love trying to solve the puzzles.
