22nd May - Thursday

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 22 May 2008 | Views [229]

Up bright and early this morning despite lack of sleep over the past few days and the amount of wine consumed last night!! Visited Windsor and Eton today, including a short cruise on the Thames between Windsor and Boveney. Walked around Eton and saw a few "scholars", resplendant in their school uniform of white tie and tails! Sandra tried to take a photo of one group - "Boys, look over here!" Needless to say, they completely ignored her request. After lunch we decided to come back on a later date in order to visit the castle itself and instead walked around the town  checking out quite a few shops in the process! On our way home we visited Picket Close which was used as the home address of the Dursley's in the Harry Potter movies - amazing how similar it is to Jean and Chris' Kingsley Close!
