Wow! I can't believe I've been here for two weeks! It's insane. I've spent most of that time finding accommodation, setting up a bank account, mobile phone etc. And now I think I'm pretty much all set up.
It's been a completely change of lifestyle for me. I was used to be doing a 9-5 job and now I'm doing a casual job working at ad hoc times on who knows what day. It's almost like I peaked in my career and now it's all going downhill! That said I have to remember that I'm here not to work but to travel. Thanks to everyone who keep asking me how my holidays are going because I am effectively on holiday :)
From a tourist perspective, I've seen Buckingham Palace from the outside. It just looks like anyother building so I'm going to make an effort to see the changing of the guard and have a tour of the rooms when it opens for the summer, just to get a feel for the place. I've also seen Hyde Park, which to me looks like a giant oval with path's running through it. There needs to be more trees and flowers that aren't just daffodils!! I did like St James park though, that was more like a park and it had a pond.
Not too taken with London yet, but I should probably spend a lot more time being a tourist and see if I like it a bit more.
:)
