Tuk tuks: Drivers are out to get green tourists. We knew how much ours was supposed to cost to get to the Chiang Mai Zoo from our hotel. They offered to take us for double. We said no way, offered them half, and they agreed. Scammers!

Lane dividers & road markings: also known as vague and optional guidelines. Particularly around mountains.

Red truck taxis in Chiang Mai: Horrible. Horrible. Fumes to the max. Bargain a tuk tuk, it's actually better (woah!).

Bargaining: Do it in Thai. Watch the price drop. :D
