This 490-year old cross was established by one of the greatest explorer in history, Fernando Magallanes(Ferdinand Magellan). He arrived in the Philippines in April 1521 and was killed by a local guy(Lapu Lapu) less than a week later.
I was able to visit this cross yesterday and it was a joyful moment for me. I waited six long years for that. You see back in 2006 I was in Cebu with my schoolmates. We can't decide what place to visit, so we had a votation. Ayala Center defeated Magellan's Cross. Only few people like me really love history. Haha.
