My friend Bea did her Forestry Practicum in Biliran, Southern Leyte this summer. Southern Leyte is near Eastern Samar, so I invited Bea to come visit our province. It was an 8-hour trip, but she came anyway. Her visit really shook my family. Eastern Samar is the place of my roots. Every member of family came from Eastern Samar. And in my family, when you bring a visitor to Eastern Samar everyone will think she's your girlfriend. I really had a hard time convincing my family that she's not my girlfriend. In fact my grandfather was never and never be convinced that we're only friends. The last time my cousin introduced a friend to my grandfather was an experience for him. My cousin and his friend ended marrying each other.
Anyway, there was a strom signal when she went there. I wasn't able to show here around well. I hope she enjoyed.
