This summer I was finally able to go Minasangay. It is an Eco Park and Marine Life Reserve in the small town of  Balangkayan. That's in Eastern Samar, Philippines. Eastern Samar is not well-known to tourist because it's a poor province. It has no airport and the roads are very ugly. Anyway, it's rich in Natural resources. Minasangay is one of the the place Eastern Samar boasts.

Minasangay is an Eco Park and Marine Life Reserve opened back in 2008. I haven't got a chance to visit this place before because of summer classes. I just heard great stories of this place from my cousins. So, I really made it a goal to visit this place this past summer.  I was the one who organized our trip. I asked my cousins to join us. We packed our stuff and our lunch. Then, off we go.

The trip was only about thirty minutes. Short trip. From the moment I stepped on that place I was just in complete awe. It was beautiful than my cousins stories about it. It was more that what I imagined.

The Diving Areas are some of Minasangay's attractions. There are diving boards and cliffs where you could jump off. The highest cliff was about thirty feet high. I decided to go for that jump. I just need to do it so I can boast the story to the whole world. Never had second thoughts about doing. That is until I stood at the edge of the high cliff. I suddenly got scared. It was just to high.

I backed off the edge of cliff for a while and think. I realized that I would real regret not jumping in the near future. My mind suddenly started to clear and I forgot what's its like to stand at the edge of that cliff. I decided to run and just jump so I won't be able to think twice.  I ran and jumped off that cliff. At the start it felt so great, but then I realized that it's taking quite a while for me to hit the water. I then realize that it was really high. It took about three seconds for me to hit the water. When I did hit the water, I went down into the deep and it took me about ten seconds to rise to the surface.  I think I went fifteen feet under the water. I feel like my ears and my nose are going to explode.

This is one of the most crazy things I've done, but I'm gonna do it again when I get a chance. I realized that the most scary things to do in life are the things you'll never regret doing.

Cliff diving is not the only thing I did in Minasangay. I also explored the corals of  Minasangay's Marine Life Reserve. The reserve is just abundant with life.  I saw many different kinds of fishes. The water is also so blue.  It is one of the most unpolluted places I visited.

This place made my summer complete.
