I Climb

Back in June I weighed 215 lbs. I was classified as obese. I promised myself before that I will only work on losing weight if reach 200 lbs. So, I made it a goal to lose weight when the semester started. I went on a diet and exercised hard.

I weighed myself about two weeks ago and I was really shocked that my weight is only 169 lbs. I lost a lot in a very short period of time. But honestly, I was really not that thrilled about my weight lost. I don't know the advantages of being lighter, until our Mt. Makiling Summit Climb this past weekend. I was a completely different physical specimen. The 8-hour back and forth walk to the summit didn't make me tired, I didn't fall even tough the trail was very slippery, and rapeling was effortless for me. Before, I use to get tired of 1-hour walks and I slipped many times. I have passion for climbing mountains and a lighter me makes it easier.
