Koh Phangan 21st - 23rd January

We spent the 22nd in Haad rin, shopping and on the beach. The beach and the sea was so lovely and I can already see why people end up staying in Thailand for longer than they plan to. It's so chilled here, everyone is really friendly and its so beautiful and easy to travel around. We spent a while mooching in the shops, I bought a new pair of trousers, some shorts and two tops for 850 baht (£17) which I probably shouldn't have done but its still pretty cheap. We also went to a laundrette and dropped some clothes off for a wash for about 30 baht each. They weigh them and charge per kilo and you pick them up later that day. Its definitely nice to have some clean clothes again and even nicer not to have to hand wash them yourself. We had dinner in the hostel, they do an evening buffet for 100 baht each which was so spicy I couldn't even eat much of it. There was three different dishes a chicken red curry, a pork one and a tofu one with cashew nuts. The tofu one wasn't too spicy and it was really nice but the red curry was a killer, my nose was streaming. I don't think we'll be having a red curry again any time soon.
In the evening we had some drinks and went to the jungle experience party, which was basically like a club but in the jungle. It was pretty cool and so busy but the music wasn't really my thing - no s club, more techno.

We spent the today just chilling at the hostel, we went for lunch just across the road and saw someone crash their scooter. He was so lucky because he was barely wearing any clothes, he wasn't wearing a helmet but he was fine, not even bleeding thank goodness, I don't think I would have been able to cope. We're going to a beach party tonight which is going to be good, lots of people are going to it and its quite famous. Apparently people get things nicked a lot there so we're leaving everything here pretty much. We're about 15 minutes away from the beach here so we're getting a taxi in with people from the hostel. The WiFi is very hit and miss here so hopefully I should be able to update again tomorrow and I'll tell you all about it.
Ta-ra for now.

Hello Martha, Thank you for your up date, it's really good to hear from you and know what you are up to. So many interesting things to read about. Sounds like Thailand is going to be a lot easier and more comfortable for you all. Why do you keep getting 3 beds instead of four, and what do you do when you get 3? You are certainly making the most of your time in each place you visit. Love reading about it all. Every thing is alright here, Indie and Rufus are fine.Nin goes to see Dr Wolford next Wednesday and will hopefully get his vitamin b deficiency sorted out, going to be a new man when thats sorted. Thanks for keeping in touch so regularly,Love you always.xxxxxx

It was three beds in most of the hostels that the driver booked for us so I think he was doing it to save money. It was so weird because he never even mentioned that there was only three beds. A few of them were two singles pushed together and then another single as well. We basically just had three in the double bed and one om the single and we all swapped around to make it fair. Is he taking the tablets now? Let me know what doctor Wolford says xxx
