Little Quebec City

Everything in Old Town (within the walls of Quebec City) looks straight out of a classic fairytale.
I LOVE Quebec city! I'm staying within the walls of Old Town and it's gorgeous here. Cobblestone streets and quaint cottage like buildings abound. There is a great big park perfect for lazing about in, and you can walk all the way around the 4.5km wall perimeter and up to the fort which overlooks the whole city. It's so beautiful. Quebec city is seperated into roughly 4 areas, upper town, lower town, old upper town and old lower town. Because of all these ups and downs, there are a lot of steep roads and insane staircases to scale. They've named all of the staircases, and one is even affectionately known as the Break-neck stairs. I've climbed that about 4 times cos it's on the way to the hostel, which is also on a steep slope. This place may be small and can be explored in a couple of days, but it's wonderful for just relaxing, wandering, and enjoying the village atmosphere as the lilting sounds of the harp, guitar and opera singers echo down the streets.
