It is time...

My first time whale watching and it was good fun. Within ten minutes of leaving the shore we saw Minke whales. In some photos, they blend right into the waves, but you can see them if you look carefully. Then there were the white Beluga whales. One stuck it's tail up in the air as it dove down deep, to get away from us probably :) We also saw a group of swimming seals. They popped their heads out of the water as they swam and were really quite cute. But by the time the boat swung round, they had disappeared under the water. Then came the big whale and it's baby. Spotted them first by the geyser of water mama whale shot up into the air. still not sure if they were humpback, blue or some other massive whale species. Our zodiac driver was french and we didn't always understand what he was saying. He just kept going 'maman!', 'bebe!'. We got the idea in the end :)
