Tulip Festival!

Tulip Festival!

On Saturday May 21 I drive to Ottawa, the Capital of Canada. Maybe because of the Victoria day weekend or maybe because it is simply a weekend I have to look in the Couchsurfing Last Minute Ottawa to find someone hosting me. I spend a night by Vince, a man who works in Parliament. He takes me to an interesting tour inside the parliament and around Ottawa too. The city is not so big, however I'm always riding my bicycle!

In Ottawa there are a lot of museums to cutting-edge in terms of entertainment, so I ride to the most of them around the city.

In Ottawa starts the Rideau Waterway which connects Ottawa with Kingston. Really at the begin of the waterway, by the river, some locks allow the boats to rise the waterway from the river itself up to an higher level.

Also here a many wild animals populate the gardens and the parks of the city. It's time for Tulip Festival here in Ottawa and I'm lucky to come here in these days: the gardens are FULL of tulips of every color and many shows enliven the central park.
