As we winded along the roads and hills and mountains of thailand passing farms, wagons, villagers, cows, butterflies, flowers, food stalls we started to see in the distance mounds of greens and limestone getting closer and closer and then there we were on the border of Burma. Children beautifully dressed approached us with goods for sale on their head and we were surrounded by little shops, 3 pagodas (like mini stupas, not too impressive) and people from all over the world. We wondered around, smiling from ear to ear and in aw and came accross the greates gift and suprise ever.....a coffee shop with Real Coffee and a Espresso Machine. Well the pack of Americans were sooooo excited. We sat thought of our friends and family who love coffee and absorbed the unique and magical experience of looking at the Mountains of Thailand, surrounded by people and having Burma right behind our backs. I had a MOcha - First one since my last day in Boulder. It was so incredible, I wish I had the words to describe the out of this world feeling we were all sharing. Shortly after a young man from Burma came over to us and began to speak with us about his country. He then walked us over to as space in between some vendors to an opening that was like a magic mirror looking out to another world. Right then I put my foot on Burma's soil sent love and light to the people and watch the sun and clouds and earth and villagers tell their story. The man talked about the history and how life is now (WHich deserves a whole 100 chapters of its own) and we all soaked in the energy and blessings of the magnificence and honor of what we were experiencing.
We spent a lot of time at this place until the sun shifted us towards home for a sunset drive. We returned back to Sangklaburi and happily reunited with St. Sarah - my apple pie. We all at this point are blissed out and dazed and looking forward to a celebratory meal at the floating resteraunt. The evening was filled with more laughter and sister heather and I shared an amazing dish of a whole fried fish and veggies. The energy was so high that i was goofy beyond belief....
Later as some parted 4 of us decided to head down to the lake and continue our celebration. Myself and my 3 soul sisters: Heather, Stacy, and Sarah...spent the rest of the night dancing to Michale Franti under the stars and sharing our hearts, souls and spirits. I sang out to my music friends in Colorado!!! We felt as if we have reunited and we have had nothing but magical times together since. Each day gets deeper and deeper. Our hearts have been broken open and the sisterhood between us is as sweet as chocolate! My sister circle continues to grow. We do not know what the future holds but we do know that we will all see each other again, perhaps in colorado, perhaps in california, perhaps in nepal, or perhaps in Sangklaburi.
The day was one of the best days I have ever had and I spent it with 7 (Zek and Rubi, Sara and Jason, St. Sara, and Stacy and Heather) of the greatest people I have ever met...and they ALL are from America!!!!!!!
