Queen Victoria Market

AUSTRALIA | Tuesday, 30 January 2007 | Views [1577]

This market is famous in Melbourne, and from the time we spent browsing there, it was well worth the sights, sounds and smells. Experiencing a local market gives great insight to a culture and way of life of the local community. Once thing we appreciate here is the wide range of availability of foods... meats, fruits, veggies, fish... it was quite an experience, and really too bad we aren’t spending more time here so we could take advantage of the great produce and cook some fine meals in our hostel kitchen- which by the way, we’re pleasantly surprised with all the amenities provided. Looks like eating will be a lot easier with all the proper tools to prep with.
