I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!
How does Bolivia work?! Okay, so I've been trapped in Rurrenabaque, Uyuni, and La Paz, and today I woke up at 8am to find out that La Paz has been shut down. The entire city. Protest. Every single store was closed...no markets, no street vendors, nothing. Except all the shoe stores (which doesn't even make sense). And a bakery. And one internet place. And that's it. I just don't get it. This land confuses me so.
Buuuut I'll be in Lima, back in Peru before noon tomorrow. Booked a flight out because I'm running low on funds (how did that happen?!) and should get back closer to home. Then hopefully bus straight to Trujillo, stay the night, bus to Mancora, and I'll be in Ecuador in a matter of days to roast on the beach and do my rainforest tour which Rodrigo (the guy in Quito I was semi-seeing while I was there before) is going to arrange for me! Mmmm functioning again. Like I love when things screw up traveling, that's what it's about right, but I sort of miss things just...working how I'm used to. Or even at all. I'm cold and still sick and poor and I miss home! When nothing works like you expect it or need it to it does get a little tiring after a while. But I'm super-pumped to keep up my trip and do the next part!!
PS Laurie: I love you, sweetheart!!! I can't wait to see you!! I should be back by then for sure, probably getting back around the 14th or so. Kisses!
