Scuba Senorita

Sooooo I took my first scuba lesson today! It was amazing! Left at 9am, back at 5pm, though most of the time was in the boat. We did a shallow water dive (like 2 meters) for awhile to get used to the water, then did a half-hour long dive at 10 meters and another 45 minutes in the afternoon! At lunch we had like a 2 hour break and I ended up meeting the raddest pair of New Yorkers in the restaurant and ended up making time fly by. Hopefully they´re meeting up with us at AquaLounge (that bar on the dock) tonight :)

Diving is so exhausting, but so intese! Billions of fish, my favorite are about 30 feet down and are bright bright purple and orange- SO pretty. Tons of coral, some of it electric colors, I saw a sea urchin bigger than my head with foot-long spines, the water was beautiful. Got a really bad sunburn somehow on my arms...I´m 30 feet underwater and STILL not safe from the sun! Hahaha good times though, can´t wait to go again tomorrow! I can see myself falling head over heels for this already!

Good fun at the hostel bar last night, met 7 or 8 Canadians! 3 from VAN Island, 1 from Vancouver in Kitsilano! Cool! I love it. Time for Chinese food now, though (yeah I flew this far for Chinese food) so ta!
