Who Knew Edam Was Not Only Delicious But Beautiful As Well?

NETHERLANDS | Wednesday, 10 August 2016 | Views [310]

We took a tour out of the city today to Edam. And yes, the famous cheese is made there. But, the city itself is quaint and quite charming. There are flowers everywhere and of course canals crisscross the little city. There is even one bride that has to be opened by hand. There are two houses that date back to the 1500's. One of them is built with brick and it is 20 years older than the one built around 1540. The crooked brick house is now a museum. ( I should look so good after 500 years!) Another wonderful contrast to Amsterdam was the cleanliness of the town. You would have been hard pressed to find a speck on the pavement. And the bike riders were polite. You had the impression that they weren't out to make their day by running over a pedestrian!
