Day 1 in Edinburgh

UNITED KINGDOM | Monday, 16 January 2012 | Views [530]

So I spent my first full day in Scotland with Susan, her Mum Rena, and the gorgeous Olivia (Susan's Grand daughter - aged 1 1/2). We spent most of the day at home playing with Olivia, who was a bit shy at first but warmed up to me soon enough(although she probably didn't understand a word I said)! As all children her age seem to - Olivia loves 'In The Night Garden' which makes me think of and miss all my little ones!

In the afternoon we took Zac (the Rhodesian Ridgeback) for a walk in the 'woods' and to Sainsbury's for some groceries (still can't get used to all of the food shops selling clothes and alcohol!). The temperature was about 5 degrees and I was rugged up but thought it was at least 10! The Weather Gods in the UK must have heard I was coming and given me a very mild winter to ease in slowly! I was hoping for snow, but it looks like I may be waiting until next winter for that to be a possibility!
