Canterbury

UNITED KINGDOM | Tuesday, 10 January 2012 | Views [384]

Today Barbara drove us to Wincheap and from there we caught the park and ride bus into Canterbury. I found some new shops, including Fenwicks (where I introduced Barbara to OPI Crackle Nail Polish!), and I got my first Mavala nailpolish (Graphic #298). We went to lots of the same shops as yesterday, and in and out of lots of shoe shops, but sadly did not find any shoes that we fell in love with! I found a great souvenir shop called 'Fancy That of London' where I made several purchases and bought some postcards (which I am determined to write on and post soon!) We had lunch at the Cafe in Debenhams, and sadly were not able to go into Canterbury Cathedral as we had not booked beforehand. I discovered some great bargains at "Pound Land" (like our $2 Shop) and then some pyjama bottoms in Marks and Spencers for 5 GBP! The best part of the day was when we went through the food section and found a Bannoffee Pie! (Now you know where they sell them Joan). We got a doubledecker bus back to the car (and rode right at the front on the top level, which was very exciting!). We had a little rest when we got back home and then went to Tesco to do some food shopping - I just had fun looking at all of the different things they sell! Unfortunately I have not been feeling %100 today, but have managed to get my hands on some cold and flu tablets (from Pound Land!) so hopefully I will be ok on the plane tomorrow night! Love to you all, xoxox
